About

Helping families with period homes make confident, considered design decisions that add a contemporary look and personality, whilst respecting the character of the building and making it work for modern life.

Hello, I'm Sadhia, founder of Lamees Interiors.

Lamees, pronounced lah-MEES, is an Arabic name meaning "soft to the touch". I chose the name because it reflects the side of interior design I care most about. Not just how a home looks, but how it feels to live in. Comfort, texture, warmth and creating spaces that support everyday life have always been more important to me than following trends. The name also connects to my heritage as a British South Asian woman, making the studio feel deeply personal.

Before becoming an interior designer, I worked in healthcare. Although my path into design has been unconventional, helping people, listening carefully and solving problems have always been at the heart of what I do. Today, I bring those same skills into every project, helping busy families make confident decisions and create homes that feel both beautiful and practical.

Degree trained in interior design, I studied at the Manchester School of Art and KLC School of Design and have worked on both commercial and residential projects. I have a particular appreciation for period homes and the challenge of balancing character with contemporary living. I enjoy creating personalised interiors that respect the original building while making it work beautifully for modern family life.

My style is led by the people who live in the home rather than a signature aesthetic. I am naturally drawn to eclectic interiors that combine old and new, whether that means calm, layered neutrals or bolder colours and pattern. Every project begins with understanding how you live, because the best interiors are the ones that feel entirely your own.

Get in touch, I’d love to hear from you and have a conversation!
